Privacy Policy

Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act DSG, Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 TKG). This privacy policy informs you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

1. Controller

CB perspective Consulting e.U.
Christoph Baumann
Dr.-Adolf-Schärf-Platz 5/205, 1220 Vienna, Austria
Email: office@perspective-consulting.at

A data protection officer is not required by law and has not been appointed.

2. Visiting the website and server log files

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically processes information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system and amount of data transferred.

This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security (e.g. to defend against attacks). The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are deleted after 30 days at the latest unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. This data is not combined with other data sources.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR; the servers are located in the European Union.

3. Cookies, local storage and consent management

Our website sets no tracking or marketing cookies and uses no analytics services.

To store your privacy choice, we save the entry pc-consent in your browser’s local storage. It contains only your choice and the time of your decision, is not transmitted to us or third parties, and you will be asked again after 12 months. This storage is strictly necessary (§ 165(3) TKG 2021); the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR.

External content (see section 6) is only loaded after you have actively consented (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future:

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website (Domine, Raleway) are stored locally on our server. Visiting the website establishes no connection to servers of Google or other third parties.

5. Contact via form or email

If you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide (name, company, email address, phone number if given, selected topics and your message) to handle your enquiry and any follow-up questions.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to concluding or performing a contract, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data submitted via the form is forwarded to us by email and not stored in a database.

Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply (e.g. 7 years pursuant to § 132 BAO if a contract is concluded). Data is not passed on to third parties.

Spam protection in the contact form

To protect against automated spam, your browser solves a small computational task (proof of work) after you click “I am human”. The task is generated and verified by our own server. No cookies are set, no third parties are involved and no additional personal data is processed; we only store which task has already been used, for a maximum of 20 minutes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Google Maps (only with consent)

You can load a Google Maps map to see our location. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). The map is only loaded once you consent to the “External media” category in the cookie settings or click “Load map”.

When the map loads, your IP address, date and time and browser information in particular are transmitted to Google; Google may set cookies. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA is possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR).

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time via the cookie settings. More information: policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Links to social networks

Our website links to our profile on LinkedIn. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is only transmitted to LinkedIn once you click the link and visit LinkedIn’s website, where LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies.

8. Data security

This website is delivered exclusively via an encrypted TLS connection (HTTPS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access.

9. Your rights

You generally have the following rights:

To exercise your rights, an informal message to office@perspective-consulting.at is sufficient.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.

10. Data protection in consulting projects

We process personal data entrusted to us as part of a consulting assignment solely to fulfil that assignment and under strict confidentiality. Where necessary, we conclude a data processing agreement with our clients pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Details are set out in our terms and conditions.

11. Changes

We update this privacy policy whenever changes to the website or the legal situation require it. The version published here applies.
